Description
The Ladder Defender is a dedicated roof hatch and fixed ladder fall protection system designed to create a controlled, OSHA-compliant access point at rooftop ladder landings. This system provides a guarded transition area while allowing safe entry and exit at the ladder opening.
Engineered for rooftop applications, the Ladder Defender integrates fixed and adjustable bases with rail sections to align directly with ladder widths ranging from 16” to 28”, creating a secure perimeter at the point of access.

System Overview
The Ladder Defender system is designed to provide protected access at roof ladder openings. The adjustable base allows alignment with varying ladder widths, while the fixed base supports the rail length selected (4’, 5’, 7.5’, or 10’).
Rails are secured into the bases using locking pins at both the front and rear positions. An optional self-closing GuardDog gate can be installed at the ladder opening for additional protection.
When properly installed, the Ladder Defender creates a controlled entry point and barrier system at rooftop access ladders.
